Connor Macleod

Shortlisted from UniSlam

Connor Macleod is a performance poet and playwright whose work ranges from highly vulnerable, political storytelling, to outlandish and bombastic comedy performances. He always strives to present honest and flawed characters to his audiences, whilst exploring groups, ideas or environments not traditionally associated with art. Macleod is a Hammer and Tongue national slam finalist, winner of the Bristol Old Vic open session writer's competition, and a current Masters student at Bath Spa University researching spoken word education.

Queue

Queue is an epic performance poem that follows one man's journey from one end of a queue, to the other. This show will document the beauty of new relationships, the ache of loneliness and the bitterness one feels for those more fortunate than yourself, all sped up to fit into a half an hour performance. A mixture of sharp comedy, existential dread and unconventional poetics, Queue is the show that plays in all of our heads when we're trapped with our own thoughts.
